Recently we saw the following official announcement from the folks at Mafia Wars.

Stay tuned, Mafia Wars Fans – It’s almost time to “Forge Your Destiny” and celebrate the Armory! New items will be added to the Armory and for 5 days, build 2 limited time Armory items called the Pantheon Tactical Plate and the Crimson Iron Chest Plate. This isn’t the heavy metal of the 1980’s. You’ll need special parts called Tech Plates to get the job done. Give and receive Tech Plates with free Tech Plate gifts and your news feeds. To get this event started, the Godfather will supply you with enough Armory parts to upgrade your Armory one level. The Armory crafting timer will also be cut in half so you will have plenty of opportunities to build your Man of Steel!

Events are a big part of the Mafia Wars universe and they are a great way to get your paws on some very nice equipment. The Forge Your Destiny event adds 5 items to the Armory, 2 temporary and 3 permanent. The advantages of the items in this event are very great indeed.

Here is a quick list of the new items.

Pantheon Tactical Helm

Type: Temporary Item – Armor

Attack: 55

Defense: 48

Effects: +5 Attack

Notes:

• Requires 3 armor parts and 5 Tech Plates to construct in the Armory.
• Maximum attack increases by 5 each time you build the item in the Armory.
• Gifted item does not receive the attack bonus.

Crimson Iron Chest Plate

Type: Temporary – Armor

Attack: 49

Defense: 57

Effects: +5 Defense

Notes:

• Requires 3 armor parts and 8 Tech Plates to construct in the Armory.
• Maximum defense increases by 5 each time you build the item in the Armory.
• Gifted item does not receive the defense bonus.

Welding Mask

Type: Permanent – Armor

Attack: 30

Defense: 25

Effects: +1 Attack

Notes:

• Requires 32 armor parts and 5 Special Parts to construct in the Armory.
• Maximum attack increases by 1 each time you build the item in the Armory.
• Gifted item does not receive the attack bonus.

Sprinting Shoes

Type: Permanent – Armor

Attack: 25

Defense: 32

Effects: +1 Defense

Notes:

• Requires 5 armor parts and 1 Special Parts to construct in the Armory.
• Maximum defense increases by 1 each time you build the item in the Armory.
• Gifted item does not receive the defense bonus.

Forearm Guard

Type: Permanent – Armor

Attack: 38

Defense: 30

Effects: +1 Stamina

Notes:

• Requires 12 armor parts and 2 Special Parts to construct in the Armory.
• Stamina increases by 1 each time you build the item in the Armory.
• Gifted item does not receive the defense bonus.

Forge Your Destiny in Mafia Wars by building 5 brand new items that in my opinion are some of the better items in the game.
