In today’s article I am going to tell you about something that both Zynga and I discourage. Why am I telling you about something that I do not approve of? When I started this blog it was with the intent of bringing useful information to the players of Mafia Wars, including answering as many questions as I can. I have received a number of questions over the last few months regarding how to play Mafia Wars on autopilot.

There is a script that once set up and running allows you to play the game without any intervention on your part. That script is called Facebook  Mafia Wars Autoplayer (Rebirth).

In order to use this script there are a couple of prerequisites.

1. You must be running Firefox

   Getting Firefox is easy. Simply browse to http://www.mozilla.org and click on Firefox and then download and install the latest version. The next step requires that you have Firefox up and running as your browser.

2. Greasemonkey

   Next you will be downloading and installing an Add-on to Firefox called Greasemonkey. Browse to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748 and click on add to Firefox. Follow the instructions and restart Firefox when told to do so. This will ensure that Greasemonkey is running.

3. Facebook Mafia Wars Autoplayer

   This is the piece of script that will put Mafia Wars on Autopilot. To get this script browse to http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/64720 and click on the green “install” button at the top right of the page.

I do not use the script so I cannot give detailed instructions on how to set it up so read everything that you can on the userscripts Facebook  Mafia Wars Autoplayer (Rebirth) page. View the discussions and especially the video tutorial links.

Once you are running Firefox, and have installed both Greasemonkey and Facebook  Mafia Wars Autoplayer (Rebirth) as well as developed a firm understanding of how the script works and how to set it up for your style of play the game will become effortless.

Captain America has his shield, Batman has his utility belt and now you can have the Mafia Wars tool bar. If you are a Mafia Wars fanatic like I am, you want to know everything about your Mafia Wars Account at all times and the tool bar is the answer.

The tool bar is a handy utility that places a bar on your browser making it super easy to know exactly what is going on with your Mafia Wars account even when you are not logged into Facebook.

Downloading and installing the tool bar is a breeze. You can find the tool bar by visiting http://toolbar.zynga.com/install/mw/ then just follow the instructions and you will be in business in no time.

I am in no way affiliated with the Zynga or the tool bar but I will say that this thing is a timesaver. It can be modified to give you huge amounts of information all in one convenient place.

As most of you know I am an avid Mafia Wars player and have more than a few accounts. Believe me when I say that managing that many accounts is a pain in the butt. If you have more than one account then you know what I mean.

The Mafia Wars user interface while easy to use is not necessarily the best when it comes to doing repetitive things. Not to worry though, the Mafia Wars community has come to the rescue and a few learned script writers have come to our rescue.

Spockholm is one of them and his tools are very helpful and in my opinion all but necessary to ensure that playing Mafia Wars does not make me pull my hair out. Today I am going to list his tools, give my opinion, and tell you exactly where you can get them.

Spockholm Mafia Tools

UnframeMW –  UnframeMW is a very handy script that gives you the ability to get out of the iframe that Facebook uses. The iframe unfortunately causes many helpful scripts stop working. Using this utility will pop you out of the frame and many tools will start working again.

**Note – Works only Firefox and Chrome

ScrollMW – This tool adds the functionality of scrolling to the Mafia Wars frame.

Repeat Gift – If you have purchased a copy of my Ultimate Mafia Wars Leveling Guide you know the importance of being able to send and receive gifts. There is nothing more boring that sending a friend or new character 1200 consumable items one click at a time. This utility makes gifting a breeze. Simply tell it who you want to send to and how many you want to send and the script goes to work.

Mafia Gift - This utility works hand in hand with Repeat Gift. Use this utility on your gift page to generate the item code needed for Repeat Gift.

MafiaGift-NW – Works just like Mafia Gift except that it opens up a new window.

ExpEnergy 2.0 – In my opinion this utility is one of the most valuable. When you are trying to max your energy versus experience this tool displays the experience to energy ratio, cash to energy ratio and much more for each job.

LimitedLoot –  This script quite handy for purchasing $10,000 Limited Loot Items and comes in very handy if you use the techniques for growing your mafia that are discussed in The Ultimate Mafia Wars Leveling Guide.

AttackX – This is a very helpful script is you are using the methods that are in my guide. You can simply attack the same character repeatedly to build your number of fights won. This script is packed with features and is definitely worth using.

RobX – This tool does the same thing as AttackX but it will rob them instead. Honestly I don’t know how useful this will be since Zynga has removed robbing from the game and I do not see it returning anytime soon.

RepeatJob – RepeatJob is a handy for completing tiers and expansions.

RepeatJobX – Much the same as RepeatJob except that you can repeat the same job to build you jobs done in order to appeal to the top mafia of your mafia members.

Collect Boosts – Boosts have become a big part of the game and this utility lets you collect boosts quickly and easily.

Job Helper – Job Helper is an excellent tool. It monitors your Mafia Wars home page and attempts to assist you mafia members when they ask for it. Assistance is limited to 25 per day by Zynga.

Spammer Hunt – This little gem loads a random profile from known spammers so you can attack them if you like or are bored.

Switch – Switch very handily allows you to quickly switch between your Facebook and Mafia Wars home pages very quickly.

TopMafia – If you have a large mafia it can be tough to find the best character for spots in your top mafia. This utility makes it easier by adding bonus values and thereby making it much easier to search.

ProfileMafia – ProfileMafia works much the same as TopMafia but on players profile pages instead of on your top mafia page.

MafiaLog – This utility analyzes the player updates window and breaks the information down into very easily understood terms. Good mod for the min/max player in all of us.

*** Note: While these tools are very helpful you should use them at your own risk since Zynga has stated that they do not condone 3rd party software being used. Personally I have used these and other tools since Mafia Wars came out without any problems, but there is always a first time.

Mafia Wars Tools

When you are concentrating on leveling a new character in Mafia Wars or even an old one the key to success is time management. You want every second that you spend playing to pay off through earning experience and leveling. Today I am going to revisit an old topic to help you do just that.

Mafia Wars automation is a topic that I have posted on before but I think that from time to time it deserves to be revisited. The faster that you can do the mundane tasks associated with the game the faster you will level and thus squeeze every drop of experience out of you play time.

One of the best things that you can do to cut down on the repetitive and time consuming tasks that slow you down is to use Mafia Wars bookmarklets. Bookmarklets are small pieces of code that have been created for ease of use and to automate aspects of the game to make them much easier for us as players.

All that you have to do to use most bookmarklets is simply drag them from the page that they are on and drop them onto the bookmark bar or right click and choose add to favorites. Below we will discuss some very helpful bookmarklets and where you can find them.

Repeat Gift – Getting gifts is one of the easiest ways to equip a brand new character in the least amount of time. If you are following or have followed my Ultimate Mafia Wars Leveling Guide you already know this but I am going to let this secret out for everyone.

When you start a new character you can use one of your more established characters to supply the new one with all the things that they need such as 501 Armored State Cars, Canonazo, and Track Loaders. While the easiest way is gifting these items who wants to click “send gift” thousands of times. If you use the Repeat Gift bookmarklet you wont have to.

ExpEnergy – This bookmarklet is essential if you want to wring every ounce of experience out of your energy pool. It displays the experience versus energy ratio of each job allowing you to maximize energy output and should be in the arsenal of any Mafia Wars player who is even thinking about speed leveling.

LimitedLoot - Make buying limited loot on your Mafia Wars home page easy. Tell this bookmarklet how many you want to buy and it will go to work for you.

AttackX – This is a super utility for those who love to fight. The bookmarklet asks how many attacks you want to make and already has your available stamina filled in but of course you can dictate how much or how little to use. Important information such as experience gained, money gained and more are displayed during your attack spree.

RobX – I know that at the moment robbing seems to be up in the air but if it is reinstated this bookmarklet allows you to continue to rob and works much like AttackX above.

RepeatJob – Hooray no more clicking on those jobs that you must do hundreds of times to get consumable items. This bookmarklet will continue doing the specified job until you are out of energy.

Have you ever watched a nature show on Discover, The Learning Channel, or another television station? I am sure you have and I am sure that you have seen how many prey animals run in herds. Do you know why the do that? They have been conditioned for thousands of years to understand that there is safety in numbers.

Ok before I get rambling about the cute little zebras let me get back to the point. I have told you in many articles that you need to have a large strong mafia to be a contender in the Mafia Wars world and it’s true. Safety in numbers is the law of the concrete jungle in New York and the tropical jungle in Cuba just like it is on the African plains.

I have told you how to build your mafia to staggering numbers in just a few days and it’s easily done. If you have taken my advice on mafia and mafia size and given my methods a spin you have found it to be easy yet a pain at the same time.

First you either have to go to an email “add me” list and cut and paste the list, then send the email list out. You have also most likely added you name at one of the many add me groups where you just post an “add me” message. If you are using all of my methods you have also joined some of the larger Mafia Wars groups and manually clicked on group members and invited them the old fashioned way.

Second you have to sift through all of the requests that come to your account and approve the friends. This can be a long painful process if you have just been on a mass recruiting binge and invited a few thousand people. Of course Facebook doesn’t make it any easier since they don’t allow you to open invites in a separate tab. That is something that they really need to fix for all games.

Finally you discover that you can only invite a set number of people from the Mafia Wars interface per day. What a bummer.

With these three hurdles in the way I thought that it would take forever to build my mafia the first time that I did it, but I learned to speed the process up through trial and error and the help of a few tools.

Today I am going to let you in a tool that I use to build my mafia at blazing speed. The tool I use is called “Add All Friends V.2.3.” All you have to do is have this tool on your browser bar and click it when you are on the “my mafia” page, the one where the window on the left has all of the names of your friends who are not in your mafia already. When you are on that page click the Add All Friends button and the tool will go to work adding members to your mafia one after the other.

It will open a number of other browsers behind the one you are in and use them to automatically add members. It will add all of the friends who play Mafia Wars and leave those behind that do not. Stay on the page until it is done and you will have grown your mafia very quickly.

Spockholm Mafia Wars tools – is another great site for some cool tools to use.

Each of these pages has some great tools that will make your life in Mafia Wars much easier by automating many of the functions that you perform manually every day.

Prey animals have learned over the centuries that safety in numbers is important to survival. The same thing applies to Mafia Wars. If you are tired of being prey learn how to grow your mafia fast. Use automation to ease the cramps you get from sending thousands of friend invites, approving friends, and sending in game Mafia Wars invites. Most social networks and Zynga have made it difficult to invite thousands of players quickly, now you can have to tools to work around them.

Vern’s Mafia Wars Tools have been an incredible help in levelling from level 1 to 250 in just 2 days, without his bookmarklets it honestly would have taken a lot longer to do. Here’s a guide on what they are and how to use em.

Verns Mafia Wars Tools are simply bookmarklets which you put in your browsers bookmarks, then whenever you click on them they launch a function using javascript which instantly or automatically does something in Mafia Wars you’d normally have to spend minutes or even hours doing by hand. Each tool is different and each tool will make your Mafia Wars experience sooo much better.

ExpEnergy – This is actually at the bottom of the list but I put it at the top of mine because it is simply absolutely fantastic and is by far my favorite mafia wars tool ever. It is also absolutely 100% critical to have if you want to follow my Mafia Wars Levelling Guide. What it does is show the energy ratio you need to get to the next level. It also shows the energy ratio of every job you can do. What you then need to do is do jobs so you use up exactly all your energy for each level, without this tool it is very hard to tell exactly what jobs you need to do to level as efficiently as possible.

Add All – Another tool that I use all the time. What it does is adds all of your Facebook friends to your mafia, and doesn’t use any of your invitations (normally you only get 20ish invitations a day). It is critical to have if you are looking to get a mafia of 500 in under a week as normally you can only add 20 people to your mafia each day, with this you can add 5000 in a day if you like.

Attack Spree – This Tool allows you to attack a player over and over and over, using up all your stamina and showing you every fight you won or lost and what loot you got from each fight. It’s great when you have 30+ stamina as you can just go to a weak player, click the button and walk away from your PC or do something else for a few minutes, then come back later and see all the new exp and loot you’ve gained Saves a lot of time when you’d usually be pointlessly clicking in fights you can no do something else.

Attack Cuba – Same as above, just for cuba. Makes you return to new york to heal up cheaply when you get low on health (so you don’t waste your cuban peso’s on healing).

Do Jobs – Checks for open jobs amongst every single member of your Mafia. A Fantastic Tool when you want some free exp (as when you help someone with a job you get the exp but it costs 0 energy which is fantastic!)

Do Jobs FS – This bookmarklet is the same as above but uses the “friends who use mafia wars” search instead of going through your mafia (so you can help those who are your friends on facebook but not in your mafia )

Mafia Mikes – Automatically buys as many Mafia Mikes as you can, buying abandoned lots in lots of 10 when you run out. Keeps going until you can’t buy any more Mikes (caus you don’t have enough friends) or you don’t have enough cash.

Confirm All – Confirms all your pending friend requests – this plugin is a lifesaver when you’ve followed my post about mafia wars add me – get a mafia of 500 in days and get 100+ friend requests every single day. It simply confirms all the requests on the current page (which unfortunately is only 200 at a time) and is way better than clicking confirm 5000 times…

Free Bank – This Tool allows you to bank all your money without loosing the 10% cut the bank normally takes. It does this by banking your money $9 at a time. By the time you’ve played New York for a week (or 2 days if you use my mafia wars guide) you shouldn’t need this anymore as you’ll have so much money you don’t know what to do with it. But it is good for the early stages of cuba when pesos are rare.

To use these tools just click and drag them to your browser bookmarks bar and click on them at the right moment out of your bookmarks to use em.
