Mafia Wars Daily Lottery Explained

Recently I have had a number of people as about the Daily Chance Collection items and how you get them. The easiest way to do this is to give everyone a solid understanding of how the daily lottery works.
How Winning Numbers Work
In order to win anything in the daily lotto you must match the numbers drawn. The more numbers that you match the more you win.
Match 1 Number – A Random Loot Item – This can be anything that is dropped in the game.
Match 2 Numbers – A daily Chance Ticket
Match 3 Numbers – A Daily Chance Collection Piece
Match 4 Numbers – 9 Godfather Points
Match 5 Numbers – 1,000 Godfather Points
The lotto in Mafia Wars is just like playing the lotto in real life. In a lotto with 70 numbers in which 5 numbers are drawn here are some odds to consider.
Chance of Winning on one ticket
1 Number = 1 in 3.58
2 Numbers = 1 in 27.71
3 Numbers = 1 in 581.88
4 Numbers = 1 in 37,240.04
5 Numbers = 1 in 12,103,014.00
Of course the odds do go down a bit based on the number of tickets that you have.
In Mafia Wars you are given one ticket per day simply for playing the game, which you can use in Ticket Mastery. When you claim the reward you receive the following based upon how many tickets you have in mastery.
1 Ticket – A Random Collection Item (note, I have never seen a Daily Chance Collection item drop)
2 Tickets – A Free Ticket
3 Tickets – +5 Stamina (this not permanent)
4 Tickets – 1 Stat Point
5 Tickets – +20 Energy (again not permanent)
6 Tickets – 1 to 5 Godfather points.
The secret to winning Daily Chance Collection items lies in having as many tickets as you can when the drawing comes. You can get a ticket per day for playing, you can claim

I agree to this statement: “In order to win anything in the daily lotto you must match the numbers drawn. The more numbers that you match the more you win.” A friend had a similar advise, I pointed him to your blog Phil for more guides, cheats and strategy.

I think the only good in playing the lottery is taking the God father points with six tickets

@Don Zero: I don’t aggree. The best thing for me to choose is the free ticket you can get after you submittet two tickets. So you can nearly double your tickets per week you submit, because for every submitted ticket you get one step from the bonus. This heightens the chance of your win.

I agree. When the daily chance first came out, I was taking the energy from the prize claim. Then, when I noticed that it also gave godfather points when you filled up the bar, I began taking those instead. Now, I take the free tickets. I’m at level 384… Any information is still valuable. Good luck on your Mafia Wars, everyone… and don’t kill yourselves with those rocket launchers… ;D

@Alex : dont waste your tiket mestery reward just for one free ticket, better to wait till you have 6 tiket and you can have 1-5 reward points so you can spend it to buy more usefull loots..

So, what is the best way to get the Lotto Collection? Have as many tickets as you can possibly enter and hope you match as much number as possible for incremented chances of getting a Lotto Collection loot?

Just figured it out, Lotto Collection piece drops on 3 correct lotto numbers.
