Mafia Wars Public Enemies Loot Event

On Sunday December 6th at 12:01 AM (Pacific Time) the Public Enemies Loot Event Began. This event is rather short and is only going to be around for 3 days, ending on December 9th at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time).

This event is being rolled out with what seems to be a move on Zynga’s part to create even more income streams by selling videos. The video for this loot event is of course Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp.

Here is a list of the items that you can get your hands on during the event along with their stats.

Some of the items are re-issues of current items while others are new and reflect the movie and John Dillinger himself.

If you want to get these items you need to act quickly since the event is only three days long. Zynga says, “all jobs and fights have a chance to give you special Public Enemies themed loot items.” With this statement in mind you might want to head back to New York and the Street Thug Tier and do Mugging.

I conducted a test that determined which was more effective. In this test I did 100 jobs and 100 fights so I could give you the best avenue to build up large amounts of these items in the short time that the event will be active. Here are the results.

• Jobs – 4 drops in 100 jobs or a 4% chance of getting an item.
• Fights – 3 drops in 100 fights or a 3% chance of an item drop.

It seems that doing jobs is the better way of the two. My suggestion is to go back to New York and do the “Mugging” job on the Street Thug tier if you want to build up these items for use by your mafia.
